No it didn’t take much persuasion, you saw that carrot swaying, you ripped it from my honest arms.
Was a gradual realisation, damaged my stubborn patience, conned me with your empty charms.
How did it feel to break everything I worked hard to make?
How did it feel to ruin all I put my heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears in?
Oh what a grave mistake, was it worth all the money you made?
I’ll be paying off this dark debt until my dying day.
Swept up in worried waves I could not concentrate, you took advantage of blind eyes turned.
My brother saw it all but I stood deaf to his call, to listen is a lesson I learnt.
